Calsens has obtained a grant from the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), European Union – FEDER Funds, for the SENSAT project: Smart system for bridge Structural Health Monitoring and Assessment.

The research will be carried out in partnership with the company Cota a Cota Ingeniería y Topografía SL., and with technical support from the ICITECH and ITEAM institutes of the UPV.

The project seeks to develop a technological solution for the Structural Health Monitoring and Assessment of bridges and viaducts, based on the innovative Shape Sensing system.

The research includes the development of an IoT platform based on BIM that,in real time, efficiently manages the information collected on the shape that the structures adopt in response to the actions to which they are subjected, anticipating possible failures and allowing actions for conservation and predictive maintenance to be taken.
