Geotechnical Monitoring

At the request of the company Rover Group, CALSENS has carried out the monitoring on the construction site subterranean pedestrian conection betwen the metro stations of Alicante and Xativa located at the center of valencia city. The underground construccion runs very close to structures classified as assets of cultural interes, which are highly representative of Valencia’s architectural heritage,such as the main train station, Estacion del Norte, and the bullring. For its monitoring more that 50 distribuided sensors has been instaled along the rout of the construction o ensure no impact on these buildings and other nearby structures.

The ascultation of the construcction has been desing to reach a continuos 24/7 monitoring of groung movements and displacements, as well as inclinations, vibrations and settlements in structures.

The monitorings count with tradicional and automatic sensores. All of them send data to a visualitation plataform where the graph of each tipe of sensors are grouped, in these way the monitoring and control can be easily carried out remotely and continuously. Thresholds of control have been established and entered into the system, automatically generating an alarm system associated with a contingency plan.
