CalSens team has a broad experience in the handling and design of photonic optical systems and devices. The developed sensors use the following technologies: FBGs, interferometers, Rayleigh Scattering and Stimulated Brillouin and Raman Scattering.

CalSens team has a broad experience in the handling and design of photonic optical systems and devices. The developed sensors use the following technologies: FBGs, interferometers, Rayleigh Scattering and Stimulated Brillouin and Raman Scattering. The most suitable technology will be recommended according to the user’s specific needs. We have thus already developed:

  • Deformation sensors of 2 µe accuracy with a maximum deformation of 10000 µe.
  • Deformation sensors of tens of centimetres able to integrate the deformation along the sensor. Recommended for non homogeneous materials.
  • High temperature sensors (1200º C)
  • Distributed temperature and deformation sensors of a length range from tens of cm to tens of km and with resolutions from 0.1 cm to 1 m.
  • Vibration sensors covering up to 10 KHz.
  • Chemical sensors that detect ph variation or gas emissions.

An important aspect of our products is their individual packaging so that they can be adapted to different materials and working conditions.
